Geographically it is a continuation: Corso Italia runs straight through it, the Circumvesuviana halt (operated by EAV, the line's operator) sits above the road, and the cliff gardens look across the Gulf at Vesuvius exactly as Sorrento's do. From the Marinella side of the comune to Piazza Tasso is 1.5 km as the crow flies, about 20 minutes on the road; from the Circumvesuviana halt and central Corso Italia it is 2.0 to 2.1 km, which is 25 to 30 honest minutes with the traffic lights counted. The whole route is flat along Corso Italia, then busier past Piazza Lauro into the centre. Return at night on the same road; the last stretch has pavements and lighting the whole way, which is more than the cliff stairs back into Sorrento from the marinas can say.
